About the Artist
Zaira Chowdhury is a seventeen year old student at Georgetown Day School in Washington D.C. She has developed her photography and graphic design skill since the age of 9, and has expanded her focus to painting and sculpture work. Her pieces were featured in the 2022 Advanced Placement (AP) Art and Design Digital Exhibition (which displayed works of 50 out of 61,000 applicants) and have won 5 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Drawing from her graphic design aptitude, Zaira is able to convey intricate and multifaceted ideas through many mediums, allowing her to display many aspects of real world issues in one, comprehensive image.
